We are a family-owned business that has been in the metalworking industry for 30 years. We specialize in the installation and maintenance of facilities for businesses involved in the breeding and care of horses.
Throughout our history, we have studied horse behavior and their nutritional needs. Upon hearing about the problems associated with an unbalanced diet, we conducted various tests and developed feeders that regulate the necessary daily amount of food on an ongoing basis , without the need to follow a schedule.
It is crucial to understand the difference between grass in its natural state—growing in the ground with all its properties—and grass that has been cut, stored, and then placed in a feeder. The latter requires the utmost care, as it is at risk of contamination.
Our feeders
FORRAJECO feeders are designed to keep forage free of moisture (preventing mold growth) and protect it from contact with the ground or surfaces that may trap dust (which is harmful to a horse’s respiratory system).
We have achieved this by creating a mesh that holds the feed in place and compresses it, leaving spaces for just the right-sized bite and allowing the horse to cut and pull on it with its teeth. In this way, we preserve the properties of the forage and strengthen the horse’s teeth, preventing dental health problems.
FORRAJECO feeders are designed to meet the needs of both large and small businesses, where feed, medication, and labor represent an ongoing expense throughout the year.
